Question:Is it true that umar married the daughter of imam Ali a.s. and if not why is the name of that daughter of imam not mentioned more among the scholars of Ahlulbait.

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: It is not true, for two reasons:
1- It is not confirmed that such daughter exists.
2- The way it is mentioned in both narrations, either by Sunna or Shea'a, can not be accepted.
Question:Is it considered shirk for someone to say “I will be going to Najaf and I will ask Imam Ali? to heal you”, or visiting the shrine and saying “Ya Imam Ali heal me/grant me xyz” or something else along those lines? If so, what is the proper way to word it?

Question:We have a shia knowledge ladies group and a few members have asked me this question.
"Shaitaan whispers to me..even when on namaz and in wudoo"
"shaitaan is always in my mind and making me do wrong"
"why is this happening to me?"
"How do I fight this shaitaan? any duas or supplications?".

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: This is a normal thing.
It is his job.
You have to resist him, and do not listen to him or follow him.
Let me give you an example:
If some one asked you to eat very delicious piece of cake, which he put all his effort in making it so beautiful and pretty looking, while you that it is full of poison, and it will kill you immediately, are you going to listen to him and accept his invitation?

Your answer will be (NO), for sure.
Why?
Because you know that he is your enemy, and wants to kill you?
Isn't it?
Then, you have to do the same with shaitan, because he is your enemy, as Allah said, so you should not accept his invitations or answer his calls.
Keep reciting (Qul A'oothu birabelfalaq) and (Qul A'oothu birabennass)
Question:Is the word "wiladat" allowed?
Because someone has raised the issue that we should not use the word wiladat when talking about the birth anniversaries of the ahlebait (a.s). Wiladat is wrong. We need to use the word Nazool instead.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: This is a form of hyperbole, the Imams peace be upon them were born for a father and a mother and did not descend from heaven, and they themselves used the word wiladat.
Imam Redha A.S. said: I will be born a boy.
Question:I used to go to the gym, but stopped because seeing women there had a negative effect on my faith. Now I exercise at home instead with the intention to maintain health because I feel it helps my iman, but now I receive negative comments about how scrawny I look. I want to exercise to get big muscles instead so I can feel good about how I look. My question is, is this a halaal intention in Islam? Is it ok for me to exercise with this intention or should I just forget about exercising to build muscles and look good? What do you suggest in my situation?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: If building muscles results in loosing your religion and gaining sins, then what is the use of these muscles, which are going to be ate by the grave.
