Question:I came across this hadith about the angel sarsaeel of which I've never heard of before. Please help me analyz how true this hadith is. The Prophet Muhammad[saww], was in Umm Salama's house when an angel, who had twenty heads, descended upon him. Each one of the angel’s heads had one thousand tongues, and he was praising Allah with each tongue in a different language. His wings were larger than all of the seven heavens and the seven earths.
The Prophet thought that he was Jibraeel.as, so the Prophet[saww],said to him, “I have never seen you in this form.”
The angel said, “I am not Jibraeel[as] I am Sarsaeel. Allah sent me to you to marry the light to the light.”
Then the Prophet asked him, “Who do you mean?”
The angel said, “Your daughter, Fatimah zahra[sa], to Ali bin Abi Talib[as],.”
So the Prophet Muhammad[saww] married Fatema[sa] to Ali[as] with Jibraeel[as][ Mikaeel[as], Israfil[as] and Sarsaeel[as] witnesses. Then the Prophet Muhammad[saww]looked and saw the following written between the shoulders of Sarsaeel:
LA ILAHA ILLALLAH. MUHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH AND IS THE PROPHET WHO BRINGS MERCY ON PEOPLE. ALI IS THE DECISIVE PROOF THAT ALLAH USES ON HIS CREATURES.
Then the Prophet[saww], asked Sarsaeel, “How long have you had this written between your shoulders?”
Sarsaeel replied, “Twelve thousand years before Allah created Adam.as,

And if it is true how can learn more about the angel. Any recommemded sites or books?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: This is the only story about Sarsaeel, and it has no validity.
It says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him and his family) was in a house of Umm Salamah when Sarsaeel came to him, while Prophet married Umm Salamah in the fourth year after the emigration, while the marriage of Imam Ali and Fatima (Peace on them) was in the second year.
At that time Umm Salama was still with Abu Salama, who was martyred in the fourth year.
Question:For quite a while, I've been facing a problem where when I pass stool forcefully, it causes the emittion of semen. Now, I'm sure that ghusl becomes wajib on me, but because the semen doesn't get in contact with my clothes, do I have to change them everytime?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: First of all, are you sure what you see is semen?
Most probably, this is wadi, not semen, which is clean, and neither needs cleaning nor ghusl.
If you are 100% sure that it is semen, then you need to do ghusl, but you do not need to change or wash your clothes if the semen did not contact them.
Question:I have a medical condition where if I exert force in passing stool, then semen comes out. I'm certain it's semen, but how do I figure out if it's not?
Secondly, is wudhu needed when Mazi is emitted? And how is Wadi recognised?
Thirdly, if one is wearing socks, do they have to be washed or changed in case of a wet dream? What about the T shirt, does that have to be changed too?
Lastly, if one wears new clothes after having a wet dream in his old clothes, do the new clothes become impure?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: 1- The signs of semen are three:
1. Comes out with a stream.
2. With desire.
3. Followed by the chill of the body.
If these three signs occur, the outside fluid is semen.
If one of the three signs is missing, it is not semen. It is clean water, either Mazi or wadi.
2- No. Wudhu is not required neither for Mazi nor for Wadi.
3- Wadi is thick fluid that comes out after urine.
4- No need to change or clean any of what you mentioned.
Question:I wanted to ask a few questions about namaz. I was diagnosed of Mixed Anxiety and Depression and I've been having it for over a year now. The medicine I take makes me drowsy and unable to wake up despite having an alarm for Fajr activated. I would like to know what flexibility Islam gives me here, and what do I have to do since I can't get up for Fajr no matter how hard I try.

Secondly, a cause of depression is that one feels without energy throughout the day and sleeps a lot. Due to this I often miss my Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib or Isha. I hardly have any energy because of my disease. What kind of flexibility does Islam give me here?

Ayatollah:Makarem Shirazi

Answer: You have to try to arrange taking the medicine in a way that allows you to be awake at least before the prayer becomes qaza, so that you can pray on time.
If you are taking the dose at night, then take it early, so that you get enough sleep, and wake up before sunrise.
If despite all the precautions, you still woke up after time, then you just need to pray qaza.
Question:I've read in a book that performing Istekhara for something is the last resort. That is, after you consult with people, and still don't know what to do, then do Istekhara. So I wanted to ask if this is true, or can we perform Istekhara anytime, even if we don't consult with people around us?

Ayatollah:Makarem Shirazi

Answer: What you have read is correct.
Question:Is it permissible to recite Isha namaz quietly if someone around you is sleeping?

Ayatollah:Makarem Shirazi

Answer: No, but you do not need to shout.
Question:What if the sleeping person says you're being loud even though your voice is not too loud?

Ayatollah:Makarem Shirazi

Answer: Find another place to pray
Question:In the instance where water is not available but one knows that it'll be available in an hour or two without the namaz becoming qadha, should one wait for the water to come, or do Tayammum immediately and pray?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: You have to wait.
