Question:How come God saved this prophet (Jesus) from torment, but allowed the grandsons of a more important prophet (Mohammed (pbuh)) to go through torture-Karbala and how come millions of people still celebrate Easter, which is today. If Judas was made to look like him, how come there isn't more support regarding this

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: God almighty has different and unique way of exposing His message to the world. Imam Husein (as) is the most unique and the only choice of the time to expose the world the message of Allah. The result is that Issah will come back and follow the son of Imam Husein.

Majority doesn’t mean that they are on the right way. In fact Quran says, few of my servant are grateful. The fact that millions do Easter doesn’t mean they are right.
Question:I sent someone a Hadith where Hazrat Jibraeel says The pillars of guidance have been destroyed, and at the end of the hadith says The most pious man is martyred. they say several things, 1. this hadith is not true, 2. They say if this was willed by Allah and he knew it was willed, why be saddened about it, and to be overly saddened can only mean two things, you think Allah was wrong for not letting him intervene in his own death, since He is telling me (the one writing) that you believe he had "powers" or you think he was greater than the prophet. then i sent them another hadith regarding how Angels curse Ibn Muljim (la) and they said "Angels WHO HAVE NO FREE WILL take the time to curse someone that their creator willed to kill the Imam. What should i say to them?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer:
1. Ask them of their reason as to why the Hadith is Weak. They cannot just say it’s weak without pointing to what makes it weak. Is it the chain of transmission or what?

2. Allah knowing about it doesn’t mean that we cannot grief. Ask them why do they feel sad when loose their loved ones in the family? Allah knows everything including Good or bad. Allah’s knowledge about everything doesn’t necessarily means Allah is the cause of. Human beings have Free Will and we have hands in what happens.

Allah is in charge and so He must know.

Angels have no Free will: yes and they do things according to Allah’s Command. Cursing of Muljim is one of the command and they had no choice to do otherwise.
Question:I believe in the existence of Jinn (as per Quran and Hadith). Is there any existence of badd-roh ie evil spirits? Is it true that if a guy is killed then his roh can harm or scare people? What about Ham-zaat or witch?

Can Jinn harm people? Can they scare us to eg leave our house (or the house they were living in and we have bought it)?

Is There some reference from Hadith too.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Indeed Jinn exist and they do obey or disobey Allah depending on how they exercise their choices like us human beings. However, the whole talk on bad ruh or evil spirit cannot be substantiated or traced through the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

No ruh of dead person will come and harm after his or her departure from this world.
Witch or evil do exist and can harm but our belief is that whoever obey Allah and strive to purifies his or her souls will not be harmed.

2. Jinns can harm like the way human beings harm.
Refrence is chapter
Quran 6:112
Understanding of the whole chapter Jinn helps one to understand the world of jinns

Question:What is better to recite diff surahs in wajib namaz after alhamd or the mustahab given in tawzee ie. 1st rakat qadr n 2nd rakat tauheed....in order to improve concentration n obtain benefit of other surahs I wanted to recite them in my wajib daily prayers....can I recite them as the 3rd surah?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: You are free to recite any Surah of your choice so long as you know the surah by heart although some surahs are mustahabb as you indicated.
It’s actually a good idea to recite other chapters too.
Question:I would like to clear a few misconceptions i have about God

1) if Allah is all knowing and knows the future why does he test us? Isn’t testing only for what you don’t know?

2) God is omnipotent and omniscient, so it is said he created human in a perfect form. Than why is it thatEVERY single male has to undergo circumsission that changes anatomy, as if God didn’t know how to finish the job.

Ayatollah:unsure

Answer:
1. Divine test is not for Allah to know us. But rather for us to know our limit and the unlimited potentials given to us by Allah. Test is to make us perfect and to appreciate the free will given to us by Allah.
The test neither harm not benefit Allah. It’s rather for our benefit if we truly ponder and reflect

2. Indeed God is omnipotent and omniscient. God is is the one who taught us the importance of circumcision. This shows that he want us to be part of shaping our creation and destiny. He could have created without man and man but makes sure man and woman have saying in it. It shows nothing but Allah’s respect for His creations

Question:If someone asks me why there can only be one god and not multiple gods then what do I tell them?

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: The response will be more than one God will create confusion and anarchy.
This God will want rain at a particular place and the other God will say no. There will be a lot of contradictions. God must be One only and absolute independent
