If my kids get gift money and they have unused portion of it, is khums due on it after one year of receiving money or after 6 months based on new khums date?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: 1. You don’t have to take khums from the cash of the cleaning lady. It belongs to the Lady and must be given to her
2. Yes, khums is due on the kid’s money after one year insha Allah
Question:Do some present marajay allow to recite shahadat e salisa? May you please tell me their names; one of my friend denies taqleed due to this issue. If its righteous to follow those marajay who allow shahadat e salisa, I can convince her for taqleed. She also has some written fatwas of late marajay in her father documents who allow this. And did they allow it as wajib or mustahab? Why there is so much debate on this topic if some marajay allow this? May you provide please any riwayat that proves that the tashahud with 2 shahadaa is correct.

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: In fact most of the marjas don’t allow the third shahdat except say Sayyid SADIQ Shirazi. They don’t allow it as Wajib but as mustahabb. However, there are some scholars (not marja) Who claim it’s wajib. One has to be free in choosing his or her marja without any force
Question:I wanted to know whether the below described act counts as a sin. There is someone who worked in a company. The company is into customer experience research. So the company sends people to stores to act like real customers and then they ask these people to fill feedback forms when they return ( this concept is known as mystery shopping - basically done to evaluate how the store staff are doing their work ). So the person working in the company is in the data quality department where they are responsible of checking the feedback forms to ensure that the person sent to the store has evaluated the correct staff member/ asked the correct questions to the staff member / check whether the report is filled in correctly ie correct usage of grammar, etc. After checking the feedback forms, the forms have to be sent to the client. However, often this employee was given extra work beyond their hours and was not paid for it (around 1 hour extra work 4 times every week). Eventually getting fed up of the extra work, the employee, towards the end of the day, did not check the extra reports and sent them to the client directly. This, does this count as a sin because he did not check these extra reports. Important points to be noted are that when this issue of getting extra work was addressed with the manager, the manager said :
1. We expect you to stay back a little when there is more work load and when there is less work load , you may leave early.
- However, there are barely days where these is less work - like only 2 days a month
2. The manager also said that when you have extra work, inform us and we will reduce it.
-However on doing so there were times when the work was not reduced enough and there was still extra work. On some days when the employee informed them of the extra work, the vibe that the employee received in returned made him feel as if they (the managers and seniors) looked down on on him for this.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Your work and the number of hours have to be according to the agreement signed between you and your employer. Anything less without the consent of the employer will be regarded as a sin.
Question:Is it permissible to sit down to read the nawafil namaaz including namaaz e shab? Or do you have to read double the number if sitting?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: All Nafilah prayers can be offered while sitting, but then, certain Fuqaha say that 2 Rak'ats prayed sitting should be counted as one Rak'at. For example, if a person wishes to offer Zuhr Nafilah which consists of 8 Rak'ats, in a sitting posture, he should offer 16 Rak'ats. And if he wishes to offer Witr prayers while sitting, he should offer two prayers of 1 Rak'at each. This later preference is not known from any sources; however, they may be followed with the hope of earning divine pleasure.
Question:I once read somewhere that in old times slaves (gulam) could be used for sexual pleasure without marriage in the same way if somebody these days employes a women just for pleasure is it jayez and what are the rules for pleasure if not married

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: There wasn’t something like that. Marriage with slaves happened at certain point. However it was happening in a proper way through formal exchange of vows.

Question:A little bit of background: I come from a family that isn’t very religious. The majority of my family are Shia but not all of them are practising and I am the only one out of my extended family to wear a hijab, I've only became practicing recently(past few years so I hadnt really noticed this before) My sibling left Islam roughly (removed) years ago and dislikes a lot of things that have to do with Islam, how should my relationship with (removed) and other members of my family be who don't follow Islam? Does it need to stay the same, do I distance myself? How do I go about it?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: The relationship has to remain the same except that you will not follow or participate with them in going against the teachings of Allah. Respect them as your family members and try discussing Islam with them from time to time if possible. Maintain good Akhlaq with them Unless if they abuse Islam and it’s teaching. Continue to pray for Allah to guide and soften their hearts
Question:I would like to know if we will ever be seeing Allah swt?
Whether on day of judgement or in jannah with our eyes? Has any of the prophet or Imam has seen Allah swt with their eyes?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: We will not abe to see Allah with our naked eyes. It’s possible to see Him with our heart. Meaning to feel His presence and be overwhelmed by that.
There is no one who saw and will see Allah. Even our Imams didn’t see Allah. This is impossible simply because Allah is not a matter that has weight and occupies a space. He is not limited by time nor by space. He is everywhere
