Question:We are renovating our house and we were thinking to place the television in a way that while we watch our back faces the Qiblah. Can we face our back towards the qibla while watching tv? Is that okay?

The ruling for sleeping and toilets we have kept it as per law, but we were just wondering about this aspect. Kindly reply as soon as you can iA.

Question:I’m contacting you because I need your help. When I was about 11 years old I was sexually molested, it went on until I think I was 14 and/or 16. My dad passed away when I was 10 so all this began after his death. When I was 18, I started watching pornography nonstop. I watched it all the time. I don’t remember how many times a week I did but I got hooked on it. I became very depressed and I watch till this day. I tried to stop watching it for a month and it worked, but I gave in sometime this week and watched. The feeling it gives me after I finish is repulsive and I don’t want to feel this way. I am aware that this bad habit of mine is blocking my blessings. I’ve never been in love, I never had a serious relationship before. I want to meet someone soon but in order for that to happen I want to heal and I want to get rid of this disgusting habit. Please do not judge me.

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: Do not worry. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Try as much as you can to stay away from it. Spend time with trustworthy friends who do not indulge in such an act. Do your Namaz regularly and ask for forgiveness of Allah.
Allah is Absolute kind and Merciful.
Make effort to change and Allah will bless the effort. Don’t despair at all
Question:How to guide your children from the shaytan ages 14,boy 15 girl from influential friends that they make? A lot of parents are so busy with work to make money and don’t pay attention to their children and what they do as I do not work and I see many things that is not good for their hereafter. I cannot guide these many children but the influence is really overwhelming. I want to move from my city to make another move eventually out of western world to not lose them to shaytan for I do not have family that follow. As for my husband he has but always busy same thing work both leave kids. Please help

Ayatollah:Fadlallah

Answer: Indeed one of the most important act of worship is upbringing of our children. Children are trusts from Allah and parents will be questioned on how they raised their children.
Both father and mother are equally responsible.
Consider the following points:
1. Let your children see in you what you want to see in them
2. Show priority to their madrassah studies
3. You and your husband should invest your time in teaching them Islamic values at home.
4. Always take them to Islamic programs
5. If you feel the environment is harmful, there is no harm in moving to more suitable and convenient environment for their upbringing
Question:I am addicted to masturbating. I don't know I try to control but can't. I know it's haraam and really want to get rid of this act. Can you please guide me on how to control and suggest me some duas.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Indeed it’s haram. The reason is haram is that it may affect your marital relationship in future or you many end up not having a child.
There is no specific dua. However, I would advice you to prolong your sajda after salat by asking Allah to intervene on your behalf to be able to stop it.

Note that it triggers Allah’s punishment. So try as much as you can to stay from it. It requires your strong WILL POWER.
Question:I read things on internet about Mukhtar Al-Saqaffi. On wikipedia there’s written that he claimed Muhammad ibn al Hanafiyya as al Mahdi and as an Imam. It is also claimed that imam Al-Sajjad refused the permission to revenge and kill the killers of Imam al Hussein. The internet is full of made up info so I wondered what of it is right. Is it true that imam al-Sajjad refused the permission and that Mukhtar claimed Mohammad ibn al Hanafiyya as Imam al Mahdi?

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: Unfortunately we cannot rely on internet for every information we want. This information is not accurate at all. Mukthar honoured and respected Imam Zainul abideen. Imam had no issues at all with Mukhtar revenging.
