Question:I want to start reading and understanding quran with translation and tafseer . I want to start with little so i don't end up getting bored .Should i first start with translation or tafseer?? How many hours to spend daily as i am still studying. Which is the most easy tafseer in english which a lay man can also understand ? Do we have any lectures or videos of tafseer in english because i dont like reading . Regarding translation is al islam.org ok? please can you guide me by telling me how should i start and end

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: My advise will be for you to start with the translation and slowly you will get into the tafsir mood. Yes al.org is good and trustworthy.
The tafsir i will recommend for now is enlightening commentary by the groups of scholars. PDF is available online. https://www.al-islam.org/enlightening-commentary-light-holy-quran-vol-1

As I said above, start with translation. Try to spend like 15-30 minutes in a day. Then you will move forward progressively insha Allah
