11:106-107 says that disbelievers will stay in the Fire “for as long as the Heavens and the Earth endure, save as thy Lord wills.” I think this bit is what made Ibn Taymiyyah believe that Hell will eventually ‘freeze over’ or stop. What is the mainstream Shia approach to such a verse?

I could check a tafsir, but I don’t know which one is the best at the moment.

Mainstream shia view is that everything is possible and all are in the hand of Allah.

I would advise to check “ the enlightening commentary of the Holy Quran”
