A widowed mother stays in her hometown while her sons stay in different cities who come together before the Shab e Eid. This mother has 3 sons, of which, eldest one is without any source of income, the second son used to meet the expenses of the family but is unable to do now since he has got married and has some new responsibilities to take care of. It is the youngest son now who meets the expenses of the house. While the mother is dependent upon her sons, who will give whose fitrah in this case as the master of house is not clear in this case?

They are guests of the mother, so she needs to pay the Fitrah, but, as she is able to do so, because she is a needy woman, she do not have to do so. Hence, it is recommended that each of them pay his own Fitrah.
