After years of reluctance since a few months back I have ardently started to practice namaz and other amaals. Still some questions keep popping up in my head that render me into the state of confusion. My question to you is on one hand we have in Quran the event of how adam and hawaa were expelled from heaven on eating the forbidden apple and then on the other hand we have science which states theory of evolution in a very logical manner and supports the same with proof of fossils found millions And billions of years ago. Also in our body we have vestigial organs like nictitating membrane in eyes which was used by us when we we're living in water or appendix which was used to digest plants And leaves when we ate them which are a proof of scientific theory of evolution.

The story of Adam and Eve is not presented by many the way it is presented in the Quran.

Furthermore, Islam does not reject evolution there are indications in the quran for the evolution, we reject theories not supported with concrete evidence, I am a zoologist scientist and a religious professional .
There are gaps the scientist need to fill then only we will accept evolution. And there is no conflict in two courses one the natural course of evolution if proven by strong evidences and that could be one of the courses of Allah swt and other course he made a human out of clay miraculously to guide the evolved human.

Many Muslims, Christians and Jews agree with modern scientific theories but with the understanding that God’s will underwrites the laws of physics and is the ultimate creator and sustainer of those laws. From this position, He can allow the miraculous to occur as well as Creating in a anyway he feels befitting out of His Wisdom.

Based on this, there may be some partial compatibility between Islam and Evolution. However, the school of ahlul bayt is very clear about the creation of man, as oppose to evolution of man completely from apes.
