Can you please correct me, lets say if I fix a date in the end of the calendar month and on that date I will check my all savings and other unused items, and calculate 20% of all the amount. But on that day, among savings, part of money is for my installments to pay ahead then I will not calculate khums on that money and leave it as it is? Secondly, if i don't know to representative of marja in my hometown then can i give all khums to poor syed families.

You have to pay khums on entire saving and you are not allowed to pay portion of Imam to poor Syed .if representative of marja is not in your hometown then either you send to Najaf or where there is representative
