I have bought a Fermented Korean red chilli paste whose ingredients mention that it contains alcohol to preserve freshness, but the amount of alcohol isn’t mentioned. Am I allowed to use this product for cooking?

It seems this is allowed as the alcohol is a byproduct of the fermentation. According to our scholars if it is a very small percentage and it is not meant for intoxication it is allowed to be used. If it’s a preservative and it is very little there is no problem.
