I have committed zina in the past and I am ashamed of it and I have asked for forgiveness from Allah. Now I have heard a hadith from prophet that zina will come back to your house if you have committed it ( mukafate Amal). You should sincerely ask forgiveness of Allah and repent. The consequences of sin might be averted by sincere repentance and acts that will expiate the sin. Moreover, there is no reason to believe that your wife or daughter will commit the same sin. Be resolved to reform and not return and insha-Allah He will guide and help
