I have recently come across someone who holds the opinion that uttering the statement “Lanat upon X” on its own is impermissible, i.e. without mentioning Allah AZWJ. If one is to utter the statement without mentioning Allah AZWJ, whilst holding the intention to ask Allah AZWJ to remove His AZWJ blessings from an individual and curse them, will it still be considered impermissible?
