I posted my profile in an online group for marriage where someone contacted me as their requirements matched with mine. We have chatted anonymously with each other for a bit to get to know one another. But we have not talked over call or even seen each other’s face/pictures, we just know each other’s names.

Before involving families, I wanted to meet with my potential spouse once to see if we can be compatible with each other. Is it allowed to do so or is meeting before marriage not allowed at all?

For context, I will be meeting them at a public space and both of us shall be following all the shariah requirements for interacting with the opposite gender.
