I regularly get asked from the youth, is all music haram, what type of music can I listen to and the same with instruments ? If you can please explain more about this topic I’ll be really great full, I’ve done some research but get different kind of answers. I don’t like to say some kind of music is halal to the youth because I feel they tend to take advantage of it.
This issue has different opinions based on marji you follow. Sayed Sistani says classical and soft music are allowed. Those that are used in inappropriate atmospheres are forbidden.
