I’m a revert to shiaism alhamudlilah but unfortunately my parents come from a strict salafi background and claim Shi’as are kufar and they are unaware of my transition. Recently I have met a Shia man who I am willing to get married to but I don’t know how to approach my parents as I’m afraid they will disown me or become greatly upset with me. I will be very grateful for any advice you can provide in terms of dealing with this.

Perhaps you’ll need to approach a member of family who is sympathetic and can speak to your parents on your behalf. Ultimately you have to be positive but expect the worse as well. Pray on these holy nights sincerely and seek intercession of Ahlulbayt (a)
