In a western countries going out with friends and families to restaurants ser.ve halal food however due to the culture they normally also have alcohol. This is only served when asked. Is it ok to go to such restaurants? As it's so hard to find places that don't serve alcohol

There are so many restaurants in the west where alcohol is not served. I’m not sure as to which part of the west are you living.
Try as much as you can to find a place where there is no alcohol. We are discouraged from going to restaurant where alcohol is served. Unless in a situation where it’s not possible to come by such restaurant. In that case, you are permitted to go for the food but not to sit and eat where Alcohol is served.
