In Moharram, I have seen many shia people who keep fast(roza) 1st to 9th moharram. I want to know can we keep fast 1st till 9 th moharram? Is this recommended?

Muharram is one of the sacred months therefore fasting in it is good. Fasting on the first of Muharram is recommended as well
