Is it obligatory upon me to give khums? I am a student, I have some savings. On the other hand I’m earning income through giving tutions so should I pay khums?
Khums is on saving at the end of the year so if anything is left on your khums date, you have to give 20% otherwise no. Example if you pay your educational expenses even a day before your khums date and nothing is left as saving no khums.
