Me and many Shias are in a groupchat made only for Shias for fun and discussion. We wish each other happy birthdays, engage in discussion, and jokes but the groupchat has both genders present.

No one talks with the opposite gender privately or jokes privately but since the opposite gender is there eitherway so would it be Haram to be apart of this group?

If there is no lustful talk and discussions don’t lead into lustful thoughts there is no harm in participating
