Allama Ravandi in his book Daawat has reported that Imam Zayn al-Abideen (a.s.) once passed by a man who was sitting on someone’s doorstep. Imam (a.s.) asked that man why he was sitting on the doorstep of a wicked person. He said because of the hardships that had overcome me. Imam (a.s.) said to him, “Rise up. Let me guide you to a door better than his and to the Lord Who is better for you than him. Then the holy Imam (a.s.) took his hand and brought him to the mosque of the Prophet (S) and said to him: “Face the Qiblah and offer a two unit Salah. Praise Allah and send Salawat on the Holy Prophet (S). Then read the last verse of surah Hashir, the first six verses of surah Hadid and the two verses that are in surah Aal-Imran. Then ask Allah your needs. Surely Allah will grant you.”
Allama Ravandi says: Perhaps the two verses (of Surah Aal Imara) are: quli l-lahumma mālika l-mul'k till bighayri ḥisāb (26-27).
Allama Majlesi (quddisa sirruh) said: Perhaps the verse quli l-lahuma (26) with the verse Shahid Allahu (18) is meant.
Know that it has been narrated from Amirul Momineen (a.s.) that he said: “Whenever anyone of you had a wish, he should go out on Thursday morning to fulfill it. And before leaving his home, he should recite: The last verse of surah Aal Imran, Ayat al-Kursi, surah Qadr and surah Fateha, because in these (verses) are the fulfillment of wishes of this world and the Hereafter.
