We have a savings account with a non-muslim bank. They recommend us to put our money into that account as over the time, it will generate interest. But I know that interest is forbidden

Ex: we put 100$. After 1 year, that money becomes 110$, without us doing anything, just for the simple fact of having put that money into that account. Is this permissible?
