What is the argument when they say according to Arabic grammar in the Quran the feet are to be washed and not wiped because there is a fatha, it means it relates to the verb wash and not wipe

There are two pronunciations and both support wiping.

1. You recite the feet with kasra: bi ru uusikum wa arjulikum. Some recite it like this.

2. Recite the feet with Fatha: bi ruusikum wa arjulakum. This in essence is : wamsahuu arjulakum. Because 'Mash' here is “ fi’il and “ faail’ and the word that comes after it takes fatha.

There is no ambiguity here at all. Most Sunnis use Hadith to justify which believe Hadith cannot contradict Quran
