Question:If someone intentionally broke fast knowing its wajab but was not aware of any rulings regarding of the breaking of the fast and only was thinking whatever they miss they can just make it up later or something along those lines what should they do in thos case. Should they make up just those days they missed (10 days) or do they have make up 60 days for each they missed.

And what would be the kaffara due in such a case if any?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: If you were aware that breaking the fast is haram, then you pay the kaffara, which is either feeding 60 needy persons for each day, by handing 750 gms of rice or flour to each one of them, or fasting 60 days for each broken day. Hence you need to fast 10 days, and feed 600 poor people (if you chose to feed needy people)
Question:I have a question about salat el Layl if it can be broken up in different parts of the night so maybe do 10 rakaat early in the night and then maybe sleep for bit and get back up and the last rakat right before Fajr. Is this possible?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Yes. It is OK.
Question:I just heard a lecture say that we shouldn't visit the beach according to Sayed sistani due to the fact that it will be to difficult to not sin either with eyes or with someone on you with their eye on you.

Is this an actual rule or is it a suggestion and if you feel like you can control yourself from looking and you personally dont swim unclothed for others to look it can be ok?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Yes. What you heard is correct.
S. Sistani says that even if you can control your self, it is not allowed to go based on obligatory precaution.

All you need to do is to wipe the area dry from urine, and then pour some water on the affected area, remove the water by something, even by vacuum cleaner, the pour water again, and remove it.
Question:Is soy sauce halal or haram? Some contain small percentage of alcohol but others have high percentage. Most of the times it is impossible to know how much alcohol because it is not listed on the package. What do we do in this case? The alcohol is a result of the fermentation of the soy beans

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: The presence of a tiny amount in any product does not make it haram, except if it causes light drunkenness.
Question:In the stance that someone is gay (boy/boy) or (girl/girl)
1. Is it haram for them to have physical contact with someone they are attracted to? Like if a guy hugs a guy he’s attracted to (in a friend way) but the one that’s attracted thinks more than that. Does it make it haram on the guy that’s attracted
2. Is it haram for them to do things friends would do even though in this case both in this case are attracted to each other such as become roommates, have dinner, spend the day together... etc

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Homosexuality in its self a big sin. Allah SWT destroyed Lout people, because of this abnormal relation. However, what I understood from your first question is that if a normal guy hugged a homosexual guy in friendship manner, while the other party feels beyond that sexually, then is it permissible for the normal guy to hug the gay or not? If this is correct, then we have two scenarios: 1- He knows that the other party is gay, and will be sexually aroused, then, it is not permissible to do any thing could lead to this result. 2- He does not know, then, it is not haram, even if it lead to arousal. Second question: With regard to being roommates, this is haram for sure, because they will definitely practice sodomy or lesbian. As for other acts, If they know or have the probability that such acts would lead to haram acts, then, it is haram. Otherwise, it is OK.
