Question:Can you please explain the chapter 26 of Al Kafi regarding wish and will, Hadith number 384.
It is so confusing.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Let me explain it to you through an example:
We all know that Allah SWT commanded us -through the Legislative will- to pray 5 times a day, and fast the holy month of Ramadhan etc, but he did not force us - through his Formative will- to do so. Therefore, we notice that many people disobey the command, while if his wanted us -through the Formative will- to do so, nobody was going to be able to disobey, but this has no meaning.

For example if we go to buy something price $1 10pcs and after give to the cashier he miss counted as 9pcs and we pay $9 eventhough he put everything in a pack and we count as 10. ignoring this situation of him miss counting the item and we pay less, are we wrong of not correctly pay him?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: If you were the seller, do you accept that the buyer whom you gave more money, take the money?
I am sure you do not, because you will pay it from your pocket.
Hence, it is haram.
You have to pay the money back to the seller, even if you were in a non Muslim country, because you will effect the image of Islam.
Question:I wish to know who and what are the 'the right hand possess' meaning in this ayat. If they are not wife, can it be a servant?
Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 6:
إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ

Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blame-able,
(English - Shakir)

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: No. Servants are not right hand possess. They are employees. Otherwise, you will be a slave and right hand possess for your employer.
Question:I was wondering about the basis of Islamic principles.
1- We are involved in business and we were expected to strive hard or longworking hours in order to be successful. At the same time, the time we will spend in ibadah(additional pray, reading alquran etc)will be going lower down due to more time spend for working outside. People say we have to strive hard for success and my problem is my thinking for dunia and akhirat must be balance and in this situation the condition does not match. Can you please give some advice.
2- People also said repetitive failure in some business need more hard work, and I go back to the question about the additional ibadah going to be difficult to do. In Islam the principle of striving hard for dunia is there like what people around us are thinking?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: Hard work in it self is ibadat, if you are working to make your life better, and to help your family, and also paying your dues as zakat and khoms etc, provided that this does not effect your mandatory ibadat (wajib prayers, fasting...etc).
Question:If we are late for pray and accidentally notice the imam is performing the 3rd time sujud before tasahhud, can we join the prayer as mamoom?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: No, as you know that this sujood is wrong, but you can join them in tashahud.
