Question:Can you please explain to me how to make a mattress paak that has been directly soiled with urine? I washed it twice with under Kurt water and dried it everytime with a new towel. Despite my efforts, I have a strong feeling that all the water wasn't pulled out. How can I ensure its purity. Sadly I put alot of water which penetrated all the way to the other end of the mattress. Does that make it all impure? Would putting two bedsheets solve the problem as the third mutanajjis wouldn't make anything impure further?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: The carpet and the mattress that become najis by the elements that do not have a mass (i.e., do not leave any marks or stains on the carpet or the mattress), it can be purified by sprinkling water over it from a kettle or a jug once until the pure water covers the impure area, and then wipe the water away by using a piece of cloth or a vacuum cleaner, etc. The carpet or the mattress will now be considered pure; and the water removed from it will be considered, on the basis of obligatory precaution, as najis. The same rule will apply in purifying the cloth if it becomes najis by impure sources other than urine. Things becoming najis by urine will be discussed later on. If one wants to purify the carpet or the mattress by using pure water connected to the kurr source [e.g., by using a hose pipe instead of pouring water from a jug], there is no need to wipe the water off using a piece of cloth or a vacuum cleaner, etc. As soon as the kurr water covers the najis area, it will become pure [and the water will also be considered as pure]. It is possible to purify the carpet or the mattress which has become najis by the elements that do have a mass (i.e., do leave marks or stains like blood or semen) by the same method as mentioned in No. 39 provided that the impure element is removed while washing or prior to washing. The only difference is that if it is purified by the qalil water [e.g., from a jug or a glass], then the water removed from the carpet will be considered najis as a confirmed opinion and not as an obligatory precaution. If a carpet or a mattress becomes najis by urine of an infant child that mostly gets nutrition by breast-feeding, then it can be purified by sprinkling water - even if it is little - on it until it covers the najis area. In this case, there is no need to remove the water by using a piece of cloth or vacuum cleaner, etc.
Question:I feel high imaan and as I pray and read quraan and listen to scholars at home and try my best to stay connected to Allah but as I move out of my residence and engage myself with my friends and surroundings I feel less imaan and remember Allah little. Is it a sign of weak imaan? Also I get a lot of kufriya waswase and random bad thoughts as well but instantly I ask for Allah's regufe from such thoughts and keep doing astaghfar. Please help me to know is it really signs of low imaan or its just waswase of shaytaan?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: As long as you always revert back to allah and ask for istighfar you are doing fine. This is your test in life so keep positive thinking engaged and always remember Allah much. Best remembrance is to ask Allah for forgiveness. As for when you go out, I think you need to rethink what sort of friends you are associating with if you don’t feel they help you remember Allah much. Friendship is about consolidating one another on the path of truth and imaan but if your friends are not ones that help you promote your faith further, then you should think again about who you want to hang out with.
Question:I want to ask how to stop overthinking? I overthink to the point where I end up focusing more upon the negative aspects of a certain thing. It suffocates me a lot.

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: Switch your overthinking with the remembrance of God and positive thoughts. Switch to Quran reading and uplifting materials.
