Humbly request your guidance.

Question:I’d like to ask a question regarding the reading and writing of stories with fantastical elements. I write stories which include magical and mythological elements. As well as this, I’d like to, Insha’Allah, use that platform to spread awareness about problems in the world.
Is writing such magical and mythological elements and reading novels with said elements haram?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Ayatollah:Sistani

Prayer is an obligatory act of submission to Allah in order to gain close proximity to His divine acceptance and pardon. You pray not to be one successful in worldly standards, you pray to fulfill an obligation that is the means to your success in the hereafter. Rizq and success is strictly in Allah’s hand.
