Question:Can we have practice without sincerity? Would it still benefit us? By practice I mean the extras, so like dawa and teaching Islam to others but in our hearts we don’t fully practice what we teach

Answer: Yes it will since repetition of an action may lead to sincerity unless you can find another alternative that you can enjoy doing like helping in an orphanage.
Question:Is it permissible to eat a meal at the same table where someone else might be drinking alcohol?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: Sayyed Sistani does not allow it. As for some other maraji, they say if your presence is and will help serve your religion then it’s allowed
Question:My question is regarding the obedience to father. My father has always physically and mentally abused my mother. He never gives up any chance to humiliate her in front of guests. He took away all the money my mom earned. He got me married off to a man without asking for my permission and now he is doing the same to my sister. He beats my mother and has had affairs with many women. He always treated my mom as a doormat. We have always been obedient to him and he boasts about the fact in front of all his friends that no one in his family can dare say anything against his decisions. My question here is what does islam say about obedience to such fathers?

Answer: He has no obedience based on the fact that he is unjust and does things against his own Islamic values. You are however required to keep a cordial relationship with him.
Question:Can a girl of year 7 and above participate in activities of the mandatory dance classes in schools in Australia? They make it compulsory. Is it allowed to take minimum participation if there is no choice given by the school?

Answer: If all avenues are exhausted and nothing works and if her schooling is dependant on it, yes she can
Question:In Sydney, mostly house have toilets which are qibla facing (rukh) what should we do?

Answer: Sit in a way that you are no longer facing the qiblah
Question:Since there is a bushfire in Sydney, should we offer Namaz e Ayat

Answer: No need for prayers and donations are what’s needed
Question:My friend was in mutaa with his wife sister. Is it legal? If not what to do?

Ayatollah:hakim

Answer: It’s haram to marry your wife sister both mutaa and long term marriage. This must stop immediately this unlawful marriage. Ask Allah for forgiveness and never ever repeat this again
Question:Umrah mufradda can only be performed once? We cannot perform it more than once?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: Yes, that’s why it’s called Umrah mufradah, meaning one single Umran. That law of course apply if you are performing umrah in one month. But if you are let’s say performing Umrah at the end of January then when February started you wanted to perform another umrah you can. You can also do another umrah if it’s in behalf of someone else after having done your umrah.
Question:I want to discuss about the separation of my sister with my brother in law. In what circumstances is it permissible? She is having hard time with her in laws and no support from her spouse either emotionally or financially. She is the bread earner and who no one respects her no matter what. She has put lot of patience since 9 years. My father is old and there is no one to speak to her in laws about their torture put on to her. What do you suggest?

Answer: The biggest sin is to ask a wife to remain patience when there is abuse and torture by the husband abd the in laws. God does not allow injustice to take place in these circumstances. Imām Hussain who stood against justice it was not against just political justice, it was against all form of justice. I suggest you write to the office of Sayyed khamenie and seek a divorce based on the abuse
