Question:Imam Abu Abdillah Ja'far as-Sadiq said that whoever cannot be cured by Surah al-Fatihah, then there is no cure for that person. In the same narration it is written that if this surah is recited 70 times on any part of the body that is aching, the pain will surely go away. In fact, the power of this surah is so great that it is said that if one were to recite it 70 times over a dead body, you should not become surprised if that body starts moving (i.e. comes back to life). Surah al-Fatihah is a cure for physical and also spiritual ailments.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: The Hadith is authentic. However, it doesn’t mean that you should not go to the hospital. It highlights the need for spiritual treatment in addition to that other treatment

My question is if the lesson we teach people we ask them to pay money and another case we teach for the sake of Allah. is it both are at the same level as our saviour in graveyard?

Ayatollah:N/A

Question:I came across this idea in psychology about practising self love, appreciating your worth by telling yourself that you love yourself. I'm interested in the Islamic perspective of how we should view ourselves to increase self esteem- it feels a bit dangerous to say I love myself as I don't want to feel prideful or hubristic.

Could you point me to any ideas in Islam which discuss this concept? How should we feel about ourselves?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: We have in Islam what’s called self inspiration ( talqeen Nafsee). This is looking at what Allah has blessed you with. The purpose of which is to appreciate and be grateful to Allah.

The Quran encourage us to reflect on ourselves ( self reflection) in order to be grateful to Allah.
51:21

It also encourages us to speak of Allah’s blessings in our lives. 93:11
Question:I live in the United States and some of my non-Muslim relatives have bought me certain clothing items as gifts. I would personally never choose to purchase these goods myself to boycott their companies because of their support for the occupation of Palestine. Most often, these products are made in countries other than occupied Palestine but there is no question that some of their money (which I did not spend myself) goes to support a company, which in turn supports the occupation of Palestine, even if it is simply through political lobbying. If I wear this type of clothing and pray in it, is my prayer nullified or diminished?

Ayatollah:Khamenei

Answer: Your prayer is not nullified.

In Nahj al balagha, Imam a.s says Allah azwj created us and we created all the Humans. How reliable is that?

Ayatollah:N/A
