Ruling 177. Earth purifies the sole of one’s foot or shoe on four conditions:
1. the earth is pure;
2. the earth is dry;
3. based on obligatory precaution, the impurity has come onto the sole of one’s foot or shoe from the earth;
4. an intrinsic impurity – such as blood and urine – or an object that has become impure – such as mud that has become impure and is on the sole of one’s foot or shoe – is removed by walking or by rubbing the foot on earth; and in the event that the intrinsic impurity had previously been removed, then based on obligatory precaution the sole of one’s foot or shoe does not become pure by walking or by rubbing the foot on earth. Furthermore, the earth must be of soil, stone, brick, or something similar; therefore, walking on a rug, ḥaṣīr, and on grass does not purify the impure sole of one’s foot or shoe.
Ruling 178. To consider the impure sole of one’s foot or shoe as having become pure after walking on asphalt and ground paved with wood is problematic [i.e. based on obligatory precaution, it must not be considered as having become pure].
Ruling 179. In order to purify the sole of one’s foot or shoe, it is better to walk a distance of fifteen cubits (dhirāʿs)(1) or more, even if the impurity is removed by walking less than fifteen cubits or by rubbing the sole of one’s foot or shoe on earth.
Ruling 180. It is not necessary for the impure sole of one’s foot or shoe to be wet; rather, even if it is dry it becomes pure by walking.

On a rainy day a dog was walking on the wet road and I was walking on that road. I think my sole of the slipper got najis as per the law of transferring of najasat. Plus, on another rainy day, I even stepped on poop of goat. so my slippers became najis. Now my question is that, can the sole become paak by something like walking on road and taking 40 steps or something?

I am a good student through out my whole education career except from the last year of BS till now. In the last year of my bachelor's degree, there was some issue at my home due to which I went into the phase of severe depression and as a result of that I became ill. My brain was just burning inside out and the rest of the body was very hot. I consulted the doctors and they suggested me to go for outing. I did that and the burning of the head stopped. But I knew that it wasn't the proper solution to my problem. As I was unable to focus on my studies. I was physically present in the class but mentally I was absent. I wasn't able to perform my Zikr o Ibadat because I wasn't getting happiness and satisfaction from that. While performing tahajjud (Namaz e Shab) I got scared every time. So I left offering my tahajjud. But my health was good. Now after 6 months the same burning of head and lot of pressure on brain started again. I went to a spirtual doctor syed baba who was shia, for finding the solution to my problem. He said that I have an evil eye of a Jin. He gave me some taweez. But stil I have some burning and pressure on my head. Also I was wearing a Feroza on my right hand but unfortunately I lost that ring somewhere. My mother told me that as I have lost my Feroza and now I am not wearing it so that's why this pressure and burning of head is occuring.
Agha can you please tell me that what's wrong with me and what should I do now?

Allah s.w.t. has kept shifa to all such things in different ways. One of them is consultation with a Psychologist or Psychatrist. I have been able to get many people, male and female, out of such problems through them along with some duas and zikr. I feel it will be appropriate to consult them and meanwhile I shall try to find out an appropriate zikr for you.

I really need help. I'm not able to be concentrate on anything, especially prayers. I always have negative thoughts about everything, even when I'm praying. And I don't only think negative, my thinking is actually bad. I believe in Allah (swt) and I know that He will always answer my prayers when I truthfully ask Him, but I'm not even able to ask Him to help me. I feel that I'm lazy to even ask Him anything. My exams are approaching and I know that I'm not making enough Doua. When I pray, my mind is always somewhere else.
I don't know how be concentrate when doing anything, and how to remove all those negative thoughts from my mind.
I would suggest u to start zikr, maybe any which you feel its easier and increase the number slowly, specially a few minutes before namaz. Inshallah it will help you.
Secondly find some mind exercises for concentration.
I wanted to ask you what do you mean exactly by "zikr"
To remember Allah in the specific way explained by Allah or His Prophet or Imam a.s. Like SUBHANALLAH, ALHAMDULILLAH, ALLAH AKBAR..........
etc.

I know the Prophet {s.a.w.a} wore a red carnelian ring and he told Imam Ali {a.s} and his followers to do likewise. So I receive as a gift this beautiful akik ring from Turkey with Ahlul Bayt {a.s} names around the whole ring and on the agate is inscribed "Alhamdulillah - La Illa Ha Illa La - "Astaghfirullah". But here is my question. I took it to a jeweler who told me the stone was agate but not carnelian and now my concern is that it will not have the same protective effect as the natural stone will have. Can you please give me advice and address this concern so that I may either find mental peace or buy a genuine ring instead.
Use this nice ring and also get an aqee ring as well. Carnelian stone is not an alternate to aqeeq.

With a view to develop khushu and khuzu in prayers, I have experimented and observed that while most of the methods did not yield constant results, doing continuous zikr in heart like "Al Ajal Ya Imam", "Ya Allah", "Allahu" and still reciting complete namaz without losing the continuity of prayers is very useful in attaining presence of heart and party.
Is such an act allowed in prayers, where one thinks (deep in the heart) about Allah s.w.t and His Masoomeen in various forms of Taqwa and ibadat in addition to chanting names of Allah s.w.t?
If no word is whispered and names are masumeen are taken in the form of dua its allowed.
Is it also ok if we keep asking for His forgiveness in form of various statements (in our own language) taken from dua e tawbah of Imam Sajjad a.s?
Non arabic words should not be whispered or spoken out. In heart it is ok.
