Question:If I have a little bit of wetness due to me and my husband having some foreplay but not being completely relaxed. We did not have sexual intercourse. Is it wajib on me to do ghusl janabat?

Question:Why did Allah create stupid and smart people?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by stupid but I'll assume you mean those who are mentally weaker.

Different people have different strengths which vary in intensity. God expects from his servants based on their strength and will question them to the limit of their strength. If I am one who is able to progress fast even though I may show laziness in my work while someone else who strives very hard, may not be able to progress at the same speed. God looks at how much a person strives not based on their strength. For example if you were to give your child $100 you'll ask them what they did with it and if you were to give $1000, again you'll similarly ask what they did with it. God similarly only questions a person based on what strength they have been given
Question:I have few questions please reply

1. Does a woman need to sit while having bath or especially when she is taking gusl

2. Can a woman take bath on even days of hayz i.e. 4th or 6th day is there any harm doing so

3. I heard that ladies should sit and give niyaz or fateha as only mens can stand and give fateha or nazr

I need to know the answer as we are practicing this since our childhood and now after marriage my husband says aisa kuch hard n fast rule nahi hai toa kya jo hamare bade buzurgon ne bataya wo sab galat hai abtak ham jo baith ke gusl utar rahe the wo galat tareeka tha. Please clarify.

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: In all of the circumstances mentioned, there is no basis for it. In regards to hayz, minimum is 3 days and maximum is 10 days. Whenever one finishes their hayz, they should do the wajib ghusl whatever time or day it is. Ghusl can be done sitting or standing, doesn't make a difference. It is correct. As for giving niyaz sitting or standing, doesn't make a difference
Question:When I sleep at night I habitually massage my face with oil and then sleep but when I get up in the morning for namaze fajr and I do wuzu with the oil on my face and legs. If I dont do it my namaz will get qaza. So can you please tell me that if my wuzu is correct and my namaz is correct? Or can we do wuzu with oil on my face ?

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: Oil is usually absorbed and the little that remains is usually not a barrier to wudhu. However if you would like to clean, just a quick wash with soap will remove the extra moisture remaining that may be a barrier.
Question:What is the correct method of namaze shab by Ayatollah Sistani.

Ayatollah:N/A

Answer: Namaz e Shab consists of 11 rakats.
- 4 prayers of each 2 rakat which makes 8 rakaat. It is to be recited like the fajr prayers. Reciting the second surah is not wajib but recommended.
- 2 rakat namaz e shaf' which is again to be recited like the fajr prayers where it is better that the qunoot is not recited.
- 1 rakat namaz e witr in which after Surah Hamd, it is recommended to recite 3 surah ikhlas, surah naas and surah falaq. These surahs are recommended and you can either recite them or omit them and recite surah fatiha only.
- Then is qunoot. To whatever extent you can lengthen it, do so. You can recite 300 times already al-afw, 70 istighfar and then pray for 40 believers. You can recite any other dua as well depending on your own ability. You can either lengthen or shorten it based on what you feel comfortable with.
Question:After what age of daughter, father should not sleep next to daughter?

Ayatollah:Sistani

Answer: A father is a mahram for his daughter hence in general, there is no problem for his daughter to sleep next to him. However if there is fear of falling into sin, then the necessary precautions should be taken. As per akhlaq, it is better from the age of 5/6 for a father to not sleep next to his daughter
